This week I have not done any thing except thinking. The color is very important for the movie. The message part I will using the blue and white. But there is a big problem in the technology part. If I using the blue backdrop to key the image. That will key the blue color of the blue and white porcelain. I am not good at the key effect. I think I need ask some friends about how to use the key effect. Another problem is the color of story part. This is a story. There are a lot of different feelings. Happy, sad, perplexed and so on. So I can not use the same color. And there are some different Chinese characteristic clothing. For example, in the old China, the girls need wear the red clothing when they get marry. I think I just can change a little bit tonality.
The Spirit of Porcelain (2)
In this week, I have contacted my friend who studies in Jingdezhen Porcelain College. I will go back to China at 5th June. And she said that she will not begin the summer holiday at that time. So I think I can interview the professor of Jingdezhen Porcelain College. I will shoot a process of product the porcelain and edit some part to show the message of this story. All of the interviews of my final project are speaking Chinese. But I will use the English sub-title to explain it. My friend told me that there are a lot of editions about the story ‘the spirit of porcelain’. So I think I need do a lot of research.
The Spirit of Porcelain (1)
In the Easter holiday, I have thought my final project for a long time. I have a idea about a story of a kinds of Chinese popular porcelain ‘blue and white porcelain’ in my hometown. The topic of this idea is ‘the spirit of the porcelain’ My hometown is the cradleland of the blue and white porcelain. So I think it is more helpful that I choose this topic. The image I want to use a pantomime segment. Because there is a pantomime about this story in China. And I will interview a porcelain artist.
Hundreds of years ago in China, there is a place called Jingdezhen where was produced blue and white porcelain. There are a boy and a girl live in Jingdezhen. Both of them are the porcelain artists. One day, they will get married and a perfect porcelain which is made by them will be finished. At that night, the girl’s father said the porcelain has not the spirit. And he breaks the porcelain. The boy and the girl were sad. Their want the perfection, but they do not know how to make a perfect porcelain. So they began to find their way. They go to the rivers, forests and mountains, and want to find the inspiration. They get the guidance from the fairy at last. And then, they were determined to re-do a perfect porcelain. However, when the porcelain is about to be completed, the kilns will be an explosion. Both of the boy and the girl want to protect the kilns. At last, the girls went in kilns under the guidance of the fairy. The perfect porcelain was be founded with her bloody, lives and spirit. Hence, the blue and white porcelain has the spirit. And the blue and white porcelain was being named after the girl. That is Qinghua Porcelain.
The message of this story ultimately is ‘the more you doing something use your heart, the more you will own’
I think the biggest problem is how to using the dance image to show this story clear. Because the dance is too Exaggerated. I want to use the interview sound to be the audio. But I am afraid the effect will not clear.
